I love my iphone 4. Regretfully, I'm probably TOO addicted to the thing..I mean, it does everything. Telephone, music, blog lists, exercise tracker(that's assuming I do it..lol) to do lists,shopping/grocery lists,My Coke Reward counter, email, Twitter, etc. And making the upgrade from the 3G to the 4G was like going from Windows 95 to Windows XP..oh, so worth it. It is sleek, gorgeous, and amazingly fast. (it also drops calls but we won't get into that) It does 99% of the things I want.(flash & itunes syncing still not in the cards)It helps me study for anatomy exams..it whiles away the midnight hours on interesting games.
So here are my current Top Ten Favorite Apps for iphone/itouch. (nothing free about them..but totally worth it, IMO)
#1 iTinnitus This is designed to lessen that pesky ear ringing..& if you have tinnitus, you know how truly annoying it can be. Mine is genetic,& I've had it so long it doesn't both me most of the time, but during total silence you can't help but notice it. That's why I usually have background noise(fan, etc) going but that's not always possible. Setting the noise pitch to the tinnitus retrains the brain to lessen the signal coming from the ear, and thus, the tinnitus isn't so loud. And that's a wonderful thing. Cost: $4.99.
#2 Pocket Bacon. I got it when it was free..its relaxing to see bacon, sizzling away. I'm not sure I'd pay for it though.
Cost: $1.99
#3 Stupid Game,FREE. Tests how well you follow directions.(apparently, not well)
#4 AppAdvice. Hands down the best app recommend-er you will EVER encounter. It gives you lists, guides,(apple) news, appisodes(watch before you buy), etc. for the touch, iphone, and ipad. Cost: $1.99
#5 Food Scanner. Scan a upc, get complete caloric & nutritional info. It even adds up what you eat over the course of the day.(must plug in # of servings though) This is great for me, because I always end up with the smooshed labels that are impossible to read/figure out the carbs...this thing solves that dilemma. Cost: $0.99
#6 PixelPipe. Frees media to 100+ social networking sites. Cost: FREE
#7 Project365. Uploads to Facebook & Twitter. Good way to remember to do 1 pic a day. Cost: FREE
#8 Cup o' Joe Lite. Helps you wake up. Cost: FREE
#9 The Betty Crocker Mobile Cookbook. Over 9,000 recipes,in an illustrated, easy-to-read format. Exports to email. Has complete calorie/carb info. Cost: FREE
#10 The Onion. (What's not to love?) Cost: FREE

The Sunday Freebies Itouch/Iphone App List
#1 Flash for Free. Cost: Free. A camera app that allows you to brighten up your pics. It's nice to have pics that don't look like they were taken at the bottom of the Black Lagoon.
#2 Parachute Panic, Lite. Cost: FREE. A fun game.
#3 MyCokeRewards. Cost: FREE. A way to enter your Coke codes, on the go. And I don't think its actually texting..which is good for my AT&T bill, texts are really expensive.
#4 Gumdrops. Cost: FREE. A Tetris-like game..the colors connect, and pop out. Seriously addicting.
#5 Cardster. Cost: FREE. You can plug your membership card #'s in this, it generates a barcode and you don't have to carry around a million cards in your wallet/purse.(as well as not having to worry about forgetting to bring a discount card) It's great. Occasionally, the barcodes don't scan but the cashier can still manually put in the number.
#6 Meta Squares. Cost: FREE. I haven't played this yet, but it looks interesting.
#7 Sheep Launcher FREE! A cute game where you launch your sheep into the stratosphere, attempting to collect as many points as possible before getting to the Moon.
#8 Offender Locator, Lite. Cost: FREE. It may not be great at locating all the registered sex offenders out there but it gets the word out that your neighborhood may not be as safe as you think it is..and you still need to track your kids whereabouts.
#9 Discovery Channel. Cost: FREE. Lots of video clips, shows, news, quizzes, plenty of entertainment.
#10 Parking Pal. Cost: Not quite free, .99. But if you're like me, and can never remember where on earth you parked it's totally worth it to be able to quickly tap it into your iphone. I have tried writing it on paper slips, and invariably, they get lost (or thrown out) too. This is a great idea.

Top Ten Free Apps for your Touch/Iphone
I've really missed blogging..oh have I missed it. I'd far rather blog then do 3/4 of the things I have to do, the end of April-May is a crazy time. Anyway, this is just a quick get-it-out-of-my-system post, finals will be over soon and the glorious summer stretches before me, waiting to be enjoyed.(I hope, assuming I don't get any more nasty bugs)
#1 Bargain-Bin. All the free and reduced priced apps go here, updated daily. It's more convenient then scrolling through massive amounts of apps in the regular store.
#2 Blowfish. This incredibly addicting game involves filling the screen with blowfish, until you either fill up 70% of the screen or the mines bump your fish and blow 'em up. (all Trippert Lab apps are free right now)
#3 WhichDay. This app will tell you the day of the week for any given date. You can even look up the day of the week that you were diagnosed, if so inclined...
#4 DrinksFree. Tells you how to make hundreds of alcoholic beverages, no need to know a bartender.
#5 FML. Really funny, it can be affirmation that you aren't the only person on the planet to have a disastrous life.(I'm not advocating swearing, but its sure to brighten up your day, put things in perspective.)
#6 Glucose Buddy. Free's free, this is a simple little app that if you've got the time to put it all in, must have its benefits but I'm too busy to play with it much, though sometimes I plug in a bg if I need quick access later on.
#7 The iPump Free Workout! Something I haven't done in several weeks. I still pump, just not that kind of pump...
#8 The Excuse Generator. Just in case you need one.
#9 BubbleWrap. Another app to play with if you're bored.
#10 iBaby BT. If you plug in the mothers and the fathers blood types, it will give you the approximate chances of the offspring's blood types and RH factors.A good FYI app.
