Addiction

Very addicting. Nothing I want so far... waiting patiently on my B.O.C.!
(if I conducted my own woot BODC, it would consist of something like the following: 2 meters,5 alcohol swabs, 1 issue of Diabetes Health, a roll of glucose tablets,a small cold pack(for your diabetes case), and a Multiclix)

(B.O.D.C.= bag of diabetes crap)

Addiction does not come from a drug, it begins with the person, his or her situation and that person’s search for a given experience. The Center for Online Addiction offers hope and valuable resources . The Internet makes our planet a small world, but we have to make sure that this wonderful tool, which binds us, does not become a bondage. A virtual network for the scientific study of addiction and for the application of information derived from scientific analysis to the problems.

The term "addiction" is used in many contexts to describe an obsession, compulsion, or excessive physical dependence or psychological dependence, such as: drug addiction, alcoholism, compulsive overeating, problem gambling, computer addiction, etc.In medical terminology, addiction is a state in which the body relies on a substance for normal functioning and develops physical dependence, as in drug addiction. When the drug or substance on which someone is dependent is suddenly removed, it will cause withdrawal, a characteristic set of signs and symptoms. Addiction is generally associated with increased drug tolerance. In physiological terms, addiction is not necessarily associated with substance abuse since this form of addiction can result from using medication as prescribed by a doctor.
